COMET S.C.R.L. Cluster Metalmeccanica Friuli Venezia Giulia, Pordenone (IT)



COMET Scrl is the cluster representing the mechanical and metalworking sector in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy’s most northeastern region. The cluster is the outcome of a process driven by the regional administration in 2015 and is recognized as a point of reference for all enterprises operating in metal and components production, mechanics and mechatronics. This cluster is more than essential: 3,850 enterprises employing approximately 57,000 employees and representing 6.4 billion euros of total export revenues.  Almost 48% of manufacturing companies in Friuli Venezia Giulia directly operate for the mechanics sector, that represents a strategic asset for the whole regional ecosystem. Its importance has been recognized by the RIS3 - Regional Smart Specialization Strategy that included mechanics among its areas of specialization.
